Galveston’s premiere summer festival. Surf contest. Epic live music featuring Allen Oldies Band • Free Radicals • WiDeya • In Da Skies • Galvezton • Rich Otoole • Juan Mendez • Texas Skeksis & more! Plus tasty craft pours from Galveston Island Brewing.
La Izquierda is dedicated to enriching and uniting communities of Galveston, the Gulf Coast and beyond through a good old fashioned surf competition and fun-raiser for the Save the Locals Summer Concert Series. Local and touring bands and artists come from near and far to celebrate surf culture and the preservation of our natural waters and beach habitat with groovy tunes. La Izquierda is open to the public and free to attend. Come be a part of this unique Galveston event!
Surf Contest
The main event at La Izquierda. A classic longboard showdown at a classic Galveston surf spot, Flagship! aka The Pleasure Pier.

Cash prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places.
Additional prizes will be announced soon! $50 entry fee to compete, $35 for Groms (12 & under).
