La Izquierda

La Izquierda is a surf and music festival dedicated to enriching and uniting communities of Galveston, the Gulf Coast and beyond through a good old fashioned surf competition and fun-raiser for the Surfrider Foundation. Local and touring bands and artists come from near and far to celebrate surf culture and the preservation of our natural waters and beach habitat with groovy tunes. Local breweries offer their craft brews to the cause and will compete for the most beers sold. La Izquierda is open to the public and free to attend. Come be a part of this unique Galveston event!

Robert Kuhn

Multicultural poet and musician Robert Kuhn was born in Houston, Texas and moved back in 2010 after bouncing around the world for twelve years. Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, Australia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica and Nicaragua all played home for him as different doors, jobs, occupations and art forms opened and led him on from an Academic All-American Line Backer to a vagabond fisherman farmer writing the critically acclaimed songs he has carried throughout the Americas. Broken hearts, broken backs, failed marriages, violence, riches, drugs, labor, poverty, music, poetry, dirt and salt; so it goes and continues.

Soul Fiya Sound System

Soulfiya is an influential veteran of the American reggae scene who’s accomplishments include being featured on a Billboard Reggae Top 10 album (Champion Sound by Skillinjah) and gracing the iTunes Top 50 with his solo releases REALITY(#44) and ONE (#16). Fiya’s music blends Reggae, Dancehall, Dub and Hip-Hop to create a raucous, high energy show that keeps the crowds excited. To date, he has performed in 39 states, 4 nations and with countless contemporary and legendary reggae icons.

The Heights Funk Collective

Funk fusion band playing the Houston area. Delivering high energy, crowd engaging, originals and covers. Taking over H-TOWN one show at a time.

Los Dientes

Music is a strange ride. I started with metal then ended up singing some country songs. Evolution is always happening who knows what i will be playing next. I just know it will be fun to do.
